Amazing Grace

Let me start with an apology. This update is long overdue. So much has happened and I can hardly wait for the pictures to be uploaded so you can all see what is happening here in Chibuto.

Status Update

Bless Aguinaldo and Felito for their upward and always positive patience!! I find that in these building days when the action is consistent and not so fast-paced that I am wondering "where is the growth"? It only takes a moment to step back a half step and revisit a beautiful vision to see the glorious progress!

Outreach in Coshombone

There has been a nationwide strike here in Mozambique. People flooding the streets, burning cars, mobs of terror reigning throughout Maputo. The reports are very scary to hear. It is all about the increase in food tax. For a country with an average annual household income of less than $1,000 USD, a 50% increase in food costs is more than the people can afford. It has lasted 2 days thus far.

First Church Service

We had the first church service today! Hallelujah! It was beautiful. Over 200 people from the surrounding villages showed up to praise and worship. The builder's left the roof incomplete to allow the heaven's to come down in. The Holy Spirit truly rushed in and inhabited the praises. It was an awesome day!

Getting Full Legal Use of the Land

We will have full legal service of the land, effective Sunday, August 1. It has taken quite a while to take service of the land because we needed to move many graves. Since the indigenous culture worships the dead, it is was very important to clear the land of all graves, to be sure the land has been consecrated for Christ! Felito will go on Friday to confirm they have all been moved, and then onward!!!

Receiving the Title for the Land

Today, the title for the land, signed by the governor of the province was received. Instead of the original 18 hectares we were promised, it came through at 28.74 hectares. Providing more than enough land for the people, the animals, and the plantation.
